Day 1 : Fundamentals + End-to-End Mapping
- Process thinking and selecting the right process to map
- Scoping and levels of detail (high-level to detailed)
- SIPOC for clarity (suppliers, inputs, process, outputs, customers)
- Workshop: map an end-to-end process (e.g., onboarding, procurement, service request)
Day 2: Advanced Mapping + Analysis
- Advanced swimlanes (handoffs, exceptions, escalation paths)
- Introduction to BPMN (the parts you actually need)
- Finding waste: delays, rework, duplication, unclear decisions
- Root cause analysis (5 Whys + cause/effect thinking)
- Intro to metrics: cycle time, lead time, quality, throughput
- Workshop: improve an existing “as-is” map into a prioritized improvement list
Day 3: Redesign + Implementation
- To-be design principles (simplify, reduce handoffs, reduce variation)
- Controls and governance basics (ownership, version control, approvals)
- Implementation planning (communication + change management basics)
- Workshop: create a to-be map + implementation plan + KPI proposal
